What White on White Looks Like

SW Camelot St, Wilsonville, OR, 97070

This 1990s builder grade kitchen consisted of maple cabinets that blended with the oak flooring. Not bad looking, but nothing to boast about. The homeowners were ready for a change, a lighter brighter change, but the key factor was keeping the footprint the same so the hardwood flooring wouldn’t have to be refinished.

When it comes to crafting a timeless design scheme you can never go wrong with an all-white palette. New cabinets now extend to the ceiling for more storage, the doors have a small inlay piece makes them unique from just plain Shaker. A new modern exhaust hood replaces the standard over the stove top half fan and it was wrapped with the white subway tile to the ceiling for interest. Gone are the awkward angles on the laminate countertop and island, now replaced with maintenance free Pental Quartz Misterio, a lightly veined stone to mimic marble. A microwave drawer is embedded into the island for the convenience of all to use.

The best transformation was the awkward desk off to the side that was transformed into a beverage station with fridge and seeded glass display doors all for a cohesive look.
