The Serenity of Doing Laundry Chores in a Stylish Space

Radcliffe Court, West Linn, OR, 97068

The existing laundry room with DIY hand painted black cabinets now chipping was ready for an update, something light and airy. The new design plan utilized the same space but with some enhanced clever features to make the chore of doing laundry a little more pleasant, maybe even fun. The new washer and dryer cavity is topped with the Quartz countertop which lets the homeowners make the most of their limited counter space. To keep the laundry room look clean the washer hook ups were moved down the wall (under the under the countertop) and an access panel with finger hole was cut out of the stone for easy access to the water line hook up.

The old vinyl flooring was replaced with a 12”x24” Clay Stone tile. New white cabinets with a few floating shelves between some uppers provide even more storage along with a farm sink with stylish faucet with pull out spray hose. Instead of taking up floor space with a standing drying rack, a rod above the sink serves for hanging damp garments.
