In-Law Suite Created in Crawlspace

The crawlspace in this Happy Valley home perched on top of a hill was the perfect place to construct an in-law suite for the homeowner’s. Inserting a beam big enough to support the upper 2 stories was a challenge, but this allowed the bedroom space to accommodate a king size bed. The new space mimics the rest of the home with nine foot arched Alder doors (stain and glazed), double pocket doors into the bathroom, and millwork including a custom shelving niche. The unique bathroom has a massive L shaped shower with multiple shower heads, two mosaic accent bands, a bench and two soap/shampoo niches. The custom vanity is encapsulated by a beautiful decorative Alder wrap that completes the look similar to the other bathrooms existing in the house. Warm soft tones of Latte and browns complement the Alder wood creating a comfortable and inviting space for guests and in-laws.
