Making a Bold Pop of Color Work
Hillside Dr., Lake Oswego, OR 97034
This 1960 Lake Oswego home’s kitchen probably wasn’t the original kitchen when we were asked to remodel it. Basically the footprint stayed the same, but new enhanced features make it more functional. By removing the soffits allowed for full upper cabinets to the ceiling for more storage. New cabinets also include a Lazy Susan moon shaped pull out to utilize a corner space and roll out spice rack left of the cooktop.
One of the themes in this home is the use of blue colored elements and accents. The kitchen is no exception with the peninsula purposely painted with Sherwin Williams Indigo Batik to perfectly coordinate with the fun backsplash of Mirazur Copa 2 ¾” x 8 ¾” tile pieces set in a vertical pattern rather than a typical horizontal. The existing vinyl flooring was replaced with a prefinished Riviera Bellagio Collection St. Maxime 5” Plank 1/2″ Engineered Hardwood to match the rest of the house. And the countertops are Pantel Misterio Quartz that is mostly white with light veining. A new kitchen with uniqueness now seems suitable for this house
