The backyard of this Lake Oswego home was already worthy of great envy with a spacious park like setting containing multiple entertainment areas. West facing, the problem was it had no ample covered space for sun and rain protection. The solution was to incorporate a portico outside the dining room to match the home so precisely that it would look as if it was always there. The design included the same roof pitch to mimic the other roofs of the house. The original Trex railing was technically removed and modified to fit back into the new portico’s posts wrapped with a custom decorative trim configuration. The cover’s ceiling contains four new recessed can lights on a dimmer switch along with a ceiling fan for those warm evenings. Entertaining looks pretty inviting any time of the year now.
