A Knock Out

SW Bunker Port Ct., Wilsonville, OR 97070

How do you get an open concept? Knock out a wall, literally. This 1978 home was transformed with Scandinavian inspired elements of clean lines, warm tones with wood combined with functionality and beauty. New cabinetry with slab doors and drawers including a matching dishwasher panel create a continuous look. The ceiling exhaust fan prevents any obstruction of the cooking space. A custom plate rack with lighting above the window displays the homeowners beloved collection. The desired raised eating bar allows for casual or additional entertainment seating.

To make one cohesive look the same existing living room maple hardwood flooring was installed into the kitchen, family room and foyer. New fir baseboard and crown molding stained to match the new cabinetry adds character. Lots of additional can lights along with some awesome unique fixtures enrich the appearance of the spaces.

Other projects include the family room’s 70’s painted cabinets were replaced with a sleeker matching entertainment cabinet that houses the electronics in the glass doors and floating shelves for personal displays with under lighting. And in the front foyer the existing painted beams were custom wrapped with fir and stained to match all of the other millwork in the house.
