Del Prado Street, Lake Oswego, OR
From Traditional to Modern
The new homeowners of this 1973 Lake Oswego home wanted to open up and modernize the kitchen space. Out with the old arched door cabinetry and weird ceiling soffit that seemed to enclosed the kitchen. The new kitchen design opened the space and created a better work flow of appliance placement including the large island that houses a hidden microwave and tons of storage for those entertainment serving items not used on a daily basis. The new white Shaker style doors, “Paradise White” Quartz on perimeter counter tops complimented by the backsplash of 3″x12″ “Artic White” stacked subway tile is finished with the Pental Quartz “Misterio on the island for a slight contrast. The Pergo flooring was replaced with a beautiful engineered Oak Elements “Brushed Eggshell” to lighten the space in the kitchen, adjacent dining, living and hallway. The sleek gas stove stove with the modern slant of exhaust hood complete this makeover transforming it into modern day living.
