Bascially a big protruding block of brick, this original fireplace was painted white and had zero character. To avoid a costly reconstruction of the entire fireplace structure a wood surround was custom constructed onto the existing fireplace, with traditional style recessed panels encased with upper crown molding to coordinate with the rest of the home makeover Revive did, The mantel ledge can display artwork and personal chotskies. A new fireplace gas insert with arched trim kit (hey, some character) lies against the existing brick painted in a charcoal and anchored with a new 12×24 black tiled hearth. All in all, it’s the new focal point in the living room that invites you to come in and stay awhile.
