The homeowners of this 70’s traditional style home craved a modern clean line look. Gone is the fireplace wood mantel and surround and replaced with a slight built out the walls then flanked with a drywall wrap. A recessed niche above the firebox houses a favorite art sculpture. The firebox surround and hearth tile are a bold statement with Color Blok Metropolis 12×24 Matte Black tiles. A striking accent wall, painted to match the new bar cabinets in Sherwin Williams Greys Harbor, highlights the fireplace making it stand out.
Included in the remodel was converting the old bar closet. To elevate the cocktail game, the old cabinetry and closet doors were replaced with custom color streamlined cabinetry containing slab doors and drawer cabinets with hidden push open actuators to avoid having to have pulls or knobs. Matching floating shelves enhance the display of glasses and décor. The Quartz countertop cascades up the back wall to the ceiling to complete this contemporary statement.
