Kitchen Design with Modern Comforts
This 2002 built home’s kitchen had Maple cabinets immersed with dark tiled countertops and backsplash. The only thing going for it was how big and open it was with 9’ ceilings. We were honored to have the homeowners’ call us back to remodel their kitchen after we had done a home theater and game addition for them a few years back.
When it comes to kitchen color combinations, there’s nothing as classic as white and wood. The new base Hickory stained cabinets anchor the space enveloped with white uppers. Unique 4×12 handcrafted multi-dimensional tiled backsplash adds subtle texture and interest to the perimeter walls. This really lightened the kitchen. But the WOW factor truly lies on top of the island with a one of a kind Quartzite slab of Blue Tempest Leather finish which is an art piece in its own right. Above the hammered oil bronzed with gold inside domed pendants hanging above it adds another layer of interest.
Some other modern design added comforts include two pull out spice drawers, a blind corner pull out, and pop up appliance garage door. It’s just fun opening it. All new Coretec Enhanced Plank LVP flooring was installed on the main and upper floors for a cohesive look. And for an unexpected hidden surprise the pantry door was replaced with a Murphy door.
This renovation includes a modern but thoughtful kitchen custom created for the homeowners’ lifestyle.
