This original 1944 Farmhouse, nestled on a property of ½ acre surrounded by mature trees, was a saltbox in shape. The homeowners dreamed of enhancing it with a wraparound porch to give it the needed farmhouse look it deserved. In the process, Revive Remodeling designed the wrap around porch with a new family room addition on the right side of the home to mimic the laundry room on the left side for symmetry. A hip roofline was cantilevered over the waterfall entrance steps for an open look. A metal sheeted roof complimented the new porch and addition. Custom trimmed out columns with vertical lattice below the railings add to the old style charm of the farmhouse. Radiant heat and ceiling fans create an all season’s environment outside.
The addition was extended from the original dining room area. We repurposed the two windows from the dining room into the new addition by the front door and added a new slider patio door for backyard access.
