Designing with Unique Intention to Astound
Designing a higher-end kitchen is different than a mid-range budget one because you need some design elements to really sing. And this one sings with its unique Quartz Elequence Naples stone countertops as the dramatic focal point of the kitchen with its large veining. The island waterfall sides line up perfectly as one stone piece was wrapped around the cabinetry. The same goes for the rolled up 6” backsplash along the perimeter walls.
Working with the original 1987 kitchen’s angles the new cabinetry design was similar but all the lower base cabinets (except the sink) were loaded with drawers for easier access. Also it was important to keep the hardwood floors the same as to avoid patching or refinishing. The island has storage on both sides and under the new induction cooktop are just a few of the many roll out shelves. Just like the bar project we did for these folks last year (did we mention we adore repeat clients) all the doors and drawers open with easy actuator buttons so no need for pulls or knobs. It’s a clean modern look with white uppers and custom color blue/gray bases.
A few extras were replacing the old baker’s rack storage to a matching cabinet to house the nook’s TV and other décor gismos. Giving even more storage below now. And all of the front windows were replace with new black rimmed windows. To complete, all new Bosh state of the line appliances were installed.
This perfect mix of classic, modern, sophisticated, contemporary is timeless with enough special moments that take it from standard to dramatic.
